I have been researching traditional life in the wider area of Thrace and recording related material since 1967. The 3,500 objects, the photographic and documents archive in the Museum’s collection date to between 1681 and the early 20th century and constitute material evidence of the social history of Thrace. The museum's library features over 2.000 books and is used by students and researchers. A part of our research work has been brought to the public through some of our publications and recordings of 350 subjects from which 24 films have been created.
