The thematic structure of the Museum is organised in such a way as to give visitors a clear picture of traditional life in Thrace from the late 17th to the early 20th century.
The display has been built up from Ms Giannakidou’s personal collection of 2,500 objects and research material. The objects, the photographs, the wall panels, the pervasive scent of roses, and the background music composed by Yorgos Papadakis set the imagination free and help the visitors to remember. The exhibition material is organised as follows:
